Tumblr is my mobile comeback story of the year. They had a pretty atrocious mobile app experience for much too long. No more.
In fact, I now prefer the mobile app experience to the web Tumblr dashboard experience. I am now in the app multiple times a day and posting more frequently.
Even though it was born on the desktop web, mobile is a more natural home for it. It’s not about sitting down and composing long posts, instead it’s about sharing small nuggets of gold whenever and wherever it strikes you.
Most products born in the desktop web are struggling to create compelling mobile experiences. Tumblr is one of the rare products made better by mobile.
